We're currently searching to fill director-level positions in two of our business units: Spreadshop and Marketplace.

Spreadshirt Marketplace is one of two core points of sale. It's one of our largest business units with regards to visits and diversity of visitors. As the Director of Marketplaces, you'll be responsible for both internal and external marketplaces and our licensing teams – in total 22 team members.

Spreadshop is the primary merchandising solution offered by Spreadshirt. Spreadshop is a B2B business that allows marketers, influencers, non-profit organizations and entrepreneurs to sell merchandise in an easy and risk-free way using our print-on-demand services. The Director of Spreadshop is responsible for a team of 14 employees.

As a managing director for either of these business units, you'll oversee strategy, demonstrate success and leadership. You ensure the achievement of the business units commercial goals.

In this role, you will report directly to the Spread Group Chief Commercial Officer.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Responsible for the P&L and the financial performance of the BU
Grow, nurture and care for all aspects of the BU
Align goals to Spreadshirt's overarching commercial strategy
Develop the vision, goals and road map for the BU together with the Chief Commercial Officer
Research and address customer needs, problems and roadblocks
Work with internal and external marketing teams to achieve acquisition and retention goals
Lead a diverse team consisting of marketing and communication professionals, project managers, designers and others to success and act as a role model in every dimension
Accountable for the product development road map and working with product owners and developers to successfully implement it
Work closely with other commercial directors and the responsible departments to implement strategies and plans (assortment, product, marketing)

Your Profile

At least 6+ years of proven experience in e-commerce or related business areas, minimum 3 years in a leadership role
Experienced with customer acquisition and retention (email marketing, paid search, paid acquisition organic search, CRM)
Good financial and analytic understanding, as well as very good MS Excel skills
Demonstration of constructive leadership and excellent communication skills proven in previous roles
Fluent in English (both written and spoken); German is a plus
International cultural experience and willingness to travel when needed
